How to Organize Business In Latvia

04.06.2014

Every day our law firm receives enquiries from clients, both local and foreign, willing to organize their business in Latvia. We are capable of providing all kinds of necessary legal support for setting up a commercial or non-commercial structure on the territory of Latvia, and namely: limited liability company, joint stock company, branches and representative offices of foreign companies, partnerships etc.

As a rule, everything starts with a consultation when the client explains what kind of business he would like to start, whereas we offer him a particular type of structure which would meet his interests and a certain form of taxation. We find out what kinds of permits or licenses might be necessary in order to start business, help to find appropriate office premises for rent or offer a virtual legal address. Then, taking into account all important factors, we prepare all necessary documents, notarize them and submit to the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia. The only thing the client needs to do personally is to sign the documents (prepared by us) at the notary’s, all the rest is performed by us and as a result the client receives a ready company.

When the company has been set up the client might need additional services, such as: legal and accounting services, assistance in obtaining any permits or licenses, search for office premises, warehouses and industrial premises, assistance in human resources, trademark registration and other services. Owing to our experience and a wide network of partners, both in Latvia and abroad, we can provide a client with practically all kinds of services.

The most popular service for new (and not only) companies is drafting different kinds of agreements which would protect our clients’ interests. They are cooperation agreements, loan agreements, supply agreements, purchase agreements, contractor agreements, pledge agreements, as well as employment agreements. Drafting and analyzing agreements is a separate and very significant part of complex legal service. It involves analysis of the agreements not only from the point of view of the law but also from the standpoint of the interests of the client.

When the company has already been set up and business is running smoothly it is important to take care of its safety. It includes a check for business partners in Europe and the CIS, USA and other countries, business intelligence, assessment of potential employees and existing staff, service control, audit system of economic security, consultations on business and personal security, and even private investigations.

Our legal firm provides high quality legal assistance to those willing to set up business. We help to create and develop a prosperous successful company.
